Armadillidium vulgare is among the common roly-poly type isopods found throughout the world. They thrive in a wide range of environments and are one of the best beginner species. A. vulgare is known to feed on sensitive plants in terrariums. St. Lucia is a popular locality of A. vulgare that presents with a range of colors.
